Finland

Helsinki … with a population of 694,000 and located on the Gulf of Finland, the city is called “the Nordic Capital” and is capital of Finland. Finland is considered “the happiest country in the world” and is an exporter of raw timber and fine crafted furniture, North Atlantic seafood, deluxe cosmetics, and wild animal furs and clothing. Helsinki presents recreational and industrial harbors, restaurants with national speciality foods, historic plazas and churches, and diverse shopping adventures.

Events celbrated an photographed include the national scouting parade; the annual April 30 all universities reunion and party featuring the scrubbing of the statue of the nation’s favorite nude woman; the May Day march to honor all worker and to express opposition to wars worldwide; and a plaza filled We Love Jesus festival by the Big White Church.
